About Pride in Place
Money for Greenlands and Woodrow, with residents deciding how it is spent.
What is it?
Pride in Place is a UK Government programme. It gives neighbourhoods long-term money to improve the places people live. Parts of Greenlands and Woodrow in Redditch have been chosen, with up to £20 million over 10 years.
Who decides?
A Neighbourhood Board of people who live and work in the area decides how the money is spent. The board is chaired by Pete Martin. You can see who is on the board and how it makes decisions.
Redditch Borough Council is the accountable body. That means it holds the money and checks that spending follows the rules. It does not decide the plans. The board does that, with you.
What can the money be spent on?
Things that make the neighbourhood a better place to live: green spaces, the high street and shops, activities for young people, community buildings, safety and more. The board will ask residents what matters most before it decides.
