The board

The board decides how the money is spent. It meets in public, publishes its papers and minutes, and explains its decisions on Have your say.

• The Chair leads the board and its meetings.
• The local MP sits on the board and supports the Chair.
• Redditch Borough Council is the accountable body. It holds the money, makes sure spending follows the rules, and keeps the formal record of meetings.
• Voting: each member's profile says whether they can vote. The full rules are in the board's terms of reference.

Conflicts of interest

Members must declare any business or personal interest that could affect a decision. If an item on the agenda affects one of their interests, they step out of that decision. Every declaration made at a meeting is recorded in the minutes.
